In conjunction to the Malaysia 13th General Election on the 5th of May 2013 (Sunday), the University has agreed to allow a day off for students on the following day, 6th of May 2013 (Monday).

However, lecture or tutorial that has been scheduled on the 6th May 2013 is expected to be replaced the soonest possible and student should be informed.

Please find the attached letter for your reference.

Postgraduate : Helpdesk System

Warm Greetings,

Dear UM Community,

Please be informed that since the year 2010, PTM had provided the Helpdesk System to facilitate staff and student to make online complaints on ICT problems. The system can be accessed via the link using UM email account. The system can also be accessed through the Staff Portal and Student Portal.

Every staff or student who need assistance on the ICT problems, is required to use Helpdesk system. This system will facilitate the ICT staff from PTM and PTj to resolve complaints within a specific period of time. It also helps PTM to monitor the actions taken and enables PTM to analyze the ICT problems faced by the UM community.

Through this system, complainants could evaluate the actions taken by the ICT staff of PTM and PTj to resolve the complaints.

For staff or student who have difficulty in using the system for reasons such as lack of network access, please call PTM HELPDESK at 03-79674001/4007.

Dear All Postgraduates Intake 2010/2011 Academic Session,

Please be informed that the submission of Research Project will be as follows:-

1. Students are required to send in the notification form* (this is necessary for the office to arrange the appointment of the examiners ahead of time) to the General Office (Postgraduate) before 10th May 2013.

* Download from FCSIT website :

2. For the submission in the current semester, the research project reports should be sent to the General Office (Postgraduate) before 31st May 2013 for the examination.

A candidate shall submit:

(a) Copy for examination:

(i) Four (4) printed copies bound in soft cover
(ii) One (1) softcopy
